Macrocarpa masterpiece
Stronsay Homestead, originally constructed in 1867, was thoughtfully revitalised by the CBC team in collaboration with passionate clients who wanted to breathe new life into their cherished period home. At their request, macrocarpa was used extensively throughout the build—from tongue-and-groove ceilings and handcrafted trusses to weatherboards and expansive decking—resulting in a cohesive and striking finish.
Careful attention was given to preserving and enhancing the home’s character, including exposing a stunning stone fireplace, opening up the kitchen, showcasing rich rimu flooring, and reimagining an existing stone wall as a standout interior feature. This project is one we’re especially proud of, and the final result is a testament to what can be achieved through shared vision and craftsmanship.
